Lately I have taken intrest in geocaching.  The idea is that you go online, and search for geographical coordinates to a cache someone else hid.  Often times, it is hidden at that location. (If the terrain around it is rough, it may just be out in the open.)  When you find it, you write your name in the logbook, and you may take something out if you put something in return.

You use a GPS (Geographical Positioning System) unit.  This can be a financial setback, but on the bright side, you can use it for your car when you are not geocaching.  Price starts at $60.

Go online to www.geocaching.com and enter your zip code (if in the U.S.)  A list of geocaches in your area and up to 100 miles away are shown. To plant geocaches yourself, create an account there.
